These Chocolate-Covered Donuts that pay homage to the classic childhood favorite from Little Debbie's but taken up a notch with the perfect combination of rich flavors with low-carb ingredients. Follow this easy recipe to create a batch of moist and delicious doughnuts topped with a luscious chocolate frosting.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F and grease a doughnut pan (you can also use a cupcake pan if you don’t have a doughnut pan. I prefer silicon donut "pans/molds" and do still grease them.
  2. In a large bowl mix the dry ingredients together to combine. Then in a medium bowl whisk together the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract.
  3. Mix the egg mixture into the dry ingredients until smooth.
  4. Take this mixture and put it into a large ziplock bag and cut the corner off. Pipe the mixture into the doughnut pans. And bake for 14 mins. Allow to cool fully.
  5. Take the chocolate chips and put them in a shallow bowl and microwave for 30 sec at a time and mix (between 30 sec intervals) until melted. Dip the top of each doughnut in the melted chocolate.
